“Feels like”

You know how ridiculous it is that the temperature right now is 17… but listed as “feels like 2”??? How is that even possible.

In other news, four hours of sleep is not enough, coffee and bagels may be my saving grace today, and now I need to finish writing a paper, edit the horrible spatial theory paper, and plunk up some sort of outline of things I want to talk about for my part of the presentation. Paper #1 needs to be done by my noon meeting. Then I have until 3 for the other stuff.

I’m a little regretful that I signed up for yoga class tonight, but I guess I’ll go, then go home to eat dinner (mmm an avocado awaits me) and then pass. out.

11 days

11 days until my third half-marathon.

I figure that, between now and then, I can keep track of my weight and exercise here, just to see what happens between today, Jan. 3 and race day, Jan. 14. I know that I feel better when I exercise, but it’s been hard to find motivation lately, and maybe posting here daily will help keep track. Not original - but possibly productive!

The weight thing’s just to see what happens to my weight when I’m exercising every day, (trying to eat healthfully), and checking in with myself. Also, I bought that pretty scale, so I might as well use it.

Exercise: Somewhere between a 3.5/4-mile run in 40 minutes in quite brisk 20-degree weather (weather.com says it feels like NINE degrees). 20 minutes of yoga, courtesy of YogaZone. 10 push-ups.

Weight: 149 lbs.

Feeling: Happy. Upbeat. Motivated. Inspired. And realizing I need better cold-weather running socks - and maybe one of those balaclava things.

What? How is it almost 1:30?

Time flies when you’re editing real-estate blurbs.

Party party.

Now to bed, so I can maybe manage to get out of it for bikram in the a.m. Woot.

Why does 8:40 a.m. feel so early?

More importantly, how the heck am I going to wake up at like 4 a.m. on Sunday and actually be awake enough to run my half??

Okay, time for bikram.

Sweat it out

1.5 hours of bikram this morning and a 40-minute run this evening may have been overdoing it.

I guess I have all sorts of toxins to sweat out.

Are they gone yet?…

Bikram round 2

Beautifully sweaty as usual.

I kind of love it.

Bedtime before midnight?

Is it really possible?

I am sore from my run tonight, piled on top of sore from yesterday’s hike, on top of Friday’s bikram yoga class. How am I going to do tomorrow’s bikram yoga class?

At least the sore is a reminder that my body is doing what it needs to do, what I need to do - strengthen, stretch, and grow.

Ouch

I’m really sore from yesterday’s bikram yoga class.

I love it, but OW. Seriously. Today’s run is definitely going to be a little slower than usual, and I’m waiting until later this afternoon. Maybe my body will stretch itself out in the meantime.
